This blog was actually started in January of 2006 on myspace when the Tales were from Eugene, Oregon. I met the best friends of my life in Eugene, and their antics inspired me to write about our crazy adventures.

And then one day while working in the Oregon athletic department, I met a cute tall boy named Laef.
He was 8 years my junior, and because of that, I will be referred to as a cougar for the rest of my life.
We started dating in 2005.
We got married in 2009.
We had a baby girl – Harper – in 2011.
This blog is a totally random collection of things that make me happy (College football, Cooking, Running, Writing, My Husband, Reality TV, Sanchez the cat, and raising Harper) and things that drive me insane (College football, My Husband, Reality TV, Sanchez and raising Harper).

I’ve been enjoying your posts since Heather Spohr gave you a shout out when you were just a few weeks pregnant… I’m sure a lot of people meandered over to your site then, but I’m hard-core… I read backwards in your older posts to the very beginning, and laughed my ass off.
I also work at UCLA, went to school here, and loved “To Kill a Mockingbird” (but I am a true nerdy nerd and read it in 8th grade)… and am now 20 weeks pregnant…. so I feel more connected to your writing than many others I have stumbled across.
I’m going to be totally lame here and make a suggestion… like you care wtf I say… but you should update this “about” page! Sometimes people stumble across blogs, and it’s quite confusing when the “about” doesn’t seem to match the location and life of the posts…
